These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the MRCEM Mastery website and learning platform ("the Platform").

By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

1. About MRCEM Mastery

MRCEM Mastery provides educational resources for candidates preparing for MRCEM examinations, including question banks, explanations, analytics, mock exams and related study tools.

MRCEM Mastery provides educational resources only.

The Platform does not provide medical advice, clinical advice, professional certification, or guarantee examination success. Content is provided for learning and revision purposes.

Users remain responsible for their own clinical decisions and examination preparation.

2. Educational purpose and disclaimer

All content, explanations, questions and materials are provided for educational purposes only. They are not a substitute for formal teaching, clinical supervision, official examination guidance or professional judgement.

We do not warrant that content is complete, current, error-free or suitable for every candidate. You must exercise your own professional judgement at all times.

3. User accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account and provide accurate information.

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us promptly of unauthorised access

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk.

4. Subscription access

Access to exam products may be provided through free trials, paid subscriptions or manually granted access.

Your entitlement to specific products (such as MRCEM Primary or MRCEM SBA) depends on your active plan or access status.

We may modify product features, content availability or access rules as the Platform develops, provided this does not remove paid access you have already purchased for the remainder of an active billing period except where required by law or these Terms.

5. Payments and billing (future)

If paid subscriptions are introduced or expanded:

• Fees will be displayed before purchase
• Payments will be processed by a third-party payment provider
• Billing may recur automatically unless cancelled in accordance with the plan terms
• Taxes may apply where required by law

Failure to pay may result in suspension of access.

6. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel recurring subscriptions in accordance with the cancellation process made available in your account or by contacting support.

Refund eligibility, if any, will be stated at the point of purchase or in separate billing terms. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer in the United Kingdom.

7. Intellectual property

All Platform content — including questions, explanations, software, branding, design and documentation — is owned by or licensed to MRCEM Mastery unless otherwise stated.

You are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Platform for your own examination preparation.

You must not:

• Copy, scrape, redistribute or resell content
• Share account access with others
• Reproduce question banks or explanations commercially
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source data at scale
• Use automated tools to harvest content

8. Question bank usage

Question banks and explanations are provided for individual study use only.

You must not publish, distribute or exploit Platform content outside your personal revision without our written permission.

We may monitor usage patterns to detect misuse, account sharing or automated extraction.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform unlawfully or fraudulently
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems or data
• Interfere with Platform security or performance
• Harass staff or other users
• Upload malicious code
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation

We may investigate breaches and take appropriate action, including suspension or termination.

10. Service availability

We aim to provide reliable access to the Platform but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Maintenance, updates, outages or third-party failures may occasionally affect availability. We are not liable for temporary interruptions except where required by law.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available"
• We exclude all warranties not required by applicable law
• We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special loss, including loss of profits, exam results, career opportunity or data loss
• Our total liability arising from your use of the Platform is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or £100 if no fees were paid

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, misuse the Platform or if required for legal or security reasons.

You may stop using the Platform at any time. On termination, your right to access the Platform ends, but provisions that should survive termination will continue to apply.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date will show when changes take effect.

Continued use of the Platform after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, unless otherwise required by law.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
